Sailing through the Desert

Explore the temples of ancient Nubia on a relaxing Lake Nasser cruise

MS Prince Abbas

The original Prince Abbas cruise vessel carried the first Thomas Cook passengers at the end of the nineteenth century. Its 5-star successor is elegant, stylish, spacious and larger than the regular Nile cruise vessels which provides an ideal conveyance for the dramatic over-water approach to Abu Simbel. The fine accommodation, accessed from walkways around the vessel, is spread over three decks with all 60 air-conditioned cabins having tinted windows and private facilities. There is a one sitting restaurant, library and an informal lounge bar. The Sun Deck has a canopied area, plunge pool, sunbeds and bar and the Egyptian-style bamboo seating area is ideal for an evening ‘sun-downer’.
