A unique arrangement on a working passenger-cargo liner sailing to and staying on the remote mid-Atlantic island of St Helena combined with stays in Namibia or Cape Town
Walvis Bay – 13th August 2008
Day 1 Fly overnight from London Gatwick to Windhoek (Air Namibia).
Day 2 A tour of Windhoek. Transfer to the 4-star Safari Court Hotel for overnight.
Day 3 Travel south for a two-night stay at the 3-star Solitaire Lodge.
Day 4 An early morning drive to the Namib National Park and a 4x4 transfer for the last 4 kilometres to the actual ‘vlei’ (clay pan) surrounded by some of the world’s oldest dunes. Visit Sesriem Canyon.
Day 5 Travel through the Namib Naukluft Park to Walvis Bay to embark RMS St Helena.
Days 6–8 At sea.
Day 9 Arrive at St Helena. Transfer to the Consulate Hotel for seven nights.
Days 10–15 Three excursions included and time at leisure.
Day 16 Embark RMS St Helena for the return journey to Walvis Bay.
Days 17–19 At sea.
Day 20 Morning arrival at Walvis Bay. Transfer to Swakopmund for overnight at the Sea Side Hotel & Spa.
Day 21 Travel to Etosha region for two nights at the Etosha Safari Camp.
Day 22 A day of game viewing in Etosha National Park.
Day 23 Transfer to Windhoek for the return flight.
Day 24 Arrive London Gatwick.
