Historic Hotels of Cape Town & the Winelands

Exploration and relaxation in two historic properties dating back over 200 years in Cape Town and at Stellenbosch in the Cape Winelands and visiting the ‘Cape of Good Hope’

 
 

Day 1 Fly overnight from London Heathrow via Istanbul and Johannesburg to Cape Town with Turkish Airlines or direct with British Airways.

Day 2 Transfer to the 4-star Vineyard Hotel for four nights.

Day 3 An excursion to Company Gardens, the Castle of Good Hope, Greenmarket Square and picturesque Bo-Kaap. Visit Table Mountain*, weather permitting (excludes cableway ticket). The tour ends at the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.

Day 4 A tour of the Cape Peninsula: Camps Bay, Llandudno and Hout Bay and then via Chapman’s Peak to Cape Point, the Good Hope Nature Reserve, Simons Town, the penguin colony in Boulders Bay and Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.

Day 5 Day at leisure.

Day 6 Afternoon excursion including Franschoek Valley and a cellar tour and wine tasting at Boschendal Wine Estate. Continue to Stellenbosch for three nights at the 4-star d’Ouwe Werf Hotel.

Day 7 Morning walking tour of Stellenbosch including visits to the Cape Dutch historical museum, the 100-year-old Victorian Oom Samie se Winkel (Uncle Sam’s shop) and the village museum.

Day 8 Day at leisure.

Day 9 Transfer to Cape Town for the overnight flight to London Heathrow via Johannesburg and Istanbul with Turkish Airlines or direct with British Airways.

Day 10
Arrive in the early morning.

Please note the Cable Car to Table Mountain will be closing for annual maintenance between 14 July - 03 August 08.
