Greece

For such a small country, Greece has played a large part in our collective history. Intellectual and cultural achievements during the Classical Period greatly influenced subsequent European history and many physical remains can still be seen, largely in Athens. Remnants of later periods can also be seen adding layer upon layer in the wonderfully complex land.
