Classic Portugal by Train
Travelling the length of Portugal by rail, staying in classic properties in Porto, Coimbra and the Algarve with an option to extend in Lisbon
Day 1 Fly from London Heathrow to Porto and transfer to the Hotel Infante de Sagres for a two-night stay.
Day 2 We include a day ticket for unlimited use of the panoramic coach which tours the entire city and entrance to a Port wine cellar. Optional river cruise.
Day 3 Travel by rail to university town Coimbra. Two nights are spent at the 5-star Hotel Quinta das Lagrimas. We include a live Fado performance at historic venue ‘A Capella’.
Day 4 An optional guided walking city tour includes entrance to the University of Coimbra library.
Day 5 Travel by rail to historic Algarve town Faro and transfer to the Vila Monte Resort for a two-night stay.
Day 6 We provide return transport to Faro for independent exploration of the Old Town and historic centre.
Day 7 Take the train to Lisbon for the return flight to London Heathrow.
