Two opportunities to view a total solar eclipse in Russia on 01 August 2008 in the company of Dr Peter Cattermole

 

 
 

Itinerary 1 - Sunday 27 July 2008 (6 nights)

(Dr. Peter Cattermole will be present for the viewing of the Eclipse but will be accompaniying the group on Itinerary 2)

Day 1Fly from London Heathrow to St. Petersburg and transfer to your hotel for a two-night stay.

Day 2
A full-day sightseeing in St. Petersburg includes a panoramic city tour.

Day 3Fly to Moscow for a two-night stay.

Day 4
Full-day panoramic city tour includes the Kremlin.

Day 5
Fly to Novosibirsk for an overnight stay.

Day 6Full-day in Novosibirsk includes a city tour in addition to viewing the eclipse in the company of Dr. Peter Cattermole.


Day 7Fly to Moscow to connect with a flight to London Heathrow.

 

Itinerary 2 - Monday 28 July 2008 (8 nights)

(Accompanied by Dr. Peter Cattermole)

Day 1Fly from London Heathrow to Moscow and transfer to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2
A full-day city tour includes a visit to the Kremlin. Depart this evening at 1900 by train to Kazan.

Day 3A full day in Kazan includes a cruise on the River Volga and a city tour. Depart late afternoon.

Day 4
Arrive in Yekaterinburg and a morning tour. Depart this afternoon for Novsibirsk.

Day 5
A full-day, and evening, in Novosibirsk includes a city tour in addition to viewing the eclipse in the company of Dr. Peter Cattermole.

Day 6
Late morning arrival in Krasnoyarsk for city sightseeing and a boat ride on the River Yenesei.

Day 7
Arrive in Irkutsk for a two-night stay.

Day 8A day of sightseeing in and around Irkutsk including Lake Baikal.

Day 9
Depart for Moscow and connect with a flight to Heathrow.

 

St Petersburg
