A Taste of China

An exceptional tariff including sightseeing and meals

7 nights from £805

To encourage first-time visitors to China, we have negotiated a tariff significantly lower than has been available in recent years for a short visit when the main sites are less crowded. For 2009 this offer has been extended to visits throughout the year.

As a hangover from the 2008 Beijing Olympics, a drop in visitors to China is predicted, not only this winter but also through next summer. This has allowed us to negotiate excellent rates for a sustained period and the opportunity to offer visitors remarkable value.

China, a country of staggering variety with stunning natural beauty and rich culture, is as unique as it is unpredictable; vibrant, confusing, noisy and colourful. Be prepared for the unexpected, the unusual, the amazing and for an experience that will be truly unforgettable. In Beijing explore the stately halls of the former Imperial Palace in the Forbidden City and of Summer Palace and then view the engineering achievement that is the Great Wall of China. The famed gardens of Suzhou contrast with Shanghai’s dramatic modern architecture and the elegant 19th-century Bund.

The exhibition at the British Museum of a small selection of the Terracotta Warriors has inspired us to offer the option to add Xian to view the full array.
