Santiago de Chile, Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro, three vibrant South American capitals combined with the natural grandeur of the Andes Mountains and Iguassu Falls

 
 

Day 1 Fly from London Heathrow, via Madrid, to Santiago.

Day 2 Transfer to the 3-star Hotel Torremayor or
5-star Hotel Santiago Park Plaza for a two-night stay. Afternoon orientation tour of Chile’s capital city.

Day 3 A day at leisure to explore Santiago or to take an optional full day excursion to Valparaiso and Vina del Mar on the Pacific coast.

Day 4 Transfer to the bus terminal to join the scheduled coach across the Andes to Mendoza in Argentina for a two-night stay at the 3-star Hotel Huentala or 4-star NH Cordillera.

Day 5 Half-day sightseeing of Mendoza, founded by the Spanish some four centuries ago, includes a visit to Independence Plaza, Civic Centre, General Martin Park and the Hill of Glory. Afternoon optional wine tasting and visits to the most important wineries around the city.

Day 6 Leave the bodegas behind and fly to the capital of tango, Buenos Aires. Transfer to the 3-star Hotel Dazzler Libertad or 4-star NH Florida Hotel for a three-night stay. Rest of day at leisure in Buenos Aires.

Day 7
A morning tour of this exciting city including the famous quarters of La Boca, where the tango was born, San Telmo, Palermo with its parks and polo fields and the mausoleums of Recoleta which include the grave of Eva Peron. Afternoon at leisure with an optional tour to the San Telmo market .

Day 8 Day at leisure with an optional full-day tour to an Estancia for a traditional lunch and demonstration of Gaucho arts. This evening an optional tango show, including dinner.

Day 9 Morning flight to Iguassu and an overnight stay at the 3-star Hotel Continental Inn or 4-star Hotel Bourbon Das Cataratas. Afternoon walking tour of the Argentinean side of the falls with paths which take you close to the waterfalls.

Day 10 Morning visit to the Brazilian side of the falls with their panoramic views. Afternoon flight to Rio de Janeiro for a three-night stay at the 3-star Hotel Plaza Copacabana or 4-star Hotel Excelsior Copacabana.

Day 11 Morning tour of Rio includes the beaches and the breathtaking views from Corcovado where the statue of Christ the Redeemer stands. Optional half-day visit to Sugarloaf Mountain.

Day 12 Day at leisure with a range of optional excursions from which to choose.

Day 13 Transfer to the airport for the overnight flight, via Madrid, to London.

Day 14 Arrive Heathrow in the afternoon.
